Arrival Time
Your booking is for your arrival time. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for your time slot.
Weather Advisory: High Winds
For your safety, access to the baboon and lion enclosures may be restricted during periods of high winds.
Ticket Policy
- No refunds are available for online tickets.
- Tickets may be transferred to another date (within the same price bracket) up to 24 hours before your visit.
- Online tickets cannot be used with any other offer.

Opening Times
Knowsley Safari is open Fridays to Sunday 10:30am to 4:30pm and every day over February Half Term from 10am – 5pm with the last entry time at 2:30pm.
Last entry time to the Safari Drive is 3:00pm. Please do not attempt to enter after the last entry time as you will be refused entry, so please plan your day accordingly.
Amusement Rides
Our amusement rides are open weekends only and every day during February Half Term until Easter
Animal Viewing & Pricing
- All animals have access to shelter, so some may be less visible later in the day or during inclement periods of weather.
- Lions, giraffes, and rhinos may not be roaming or visible after 3:00 PM or in cold weather.
- We cannot guarantee which animals will be visible so plan your visit accordingly and book an early arrival time for the best experience and allow yourself more than one tour of the Safari Drive.
Essential Companions (Carers)
We have partnered with Nimbus Disability, operators of the Access Card scheme, to process all essential companion (carer) eligibility.
- Guests requiring an essential companion must apply for an Access Card online at least 7 days before visiting.
- This new process means you no longer need to bring confidential documents on the day.
- Same-day applications cannot be accepted.

Important Park Rules
Entering the Park:
- Entry is at your own risk, We are not responsible for damage to vehicles caused by our animals.
- Soft-top cars and convertibles must remain closed throughout the safari. Vehicles with PVC skylights must take the car-friendly route.
- Vehicles with cracked windscreens are not permitted in the baboon and lion enclosure
Safety Around Animals:
- Do not feed the animals—it can harm them. Visitors breaking this rule will be asked to leave without a refund.
- Animals are wild and may not always be visible at specific times or locations.
- You can drive through the Safari as many times as you like before the last entry time.
Visitor Safety:
- Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
- Children must not sit on laps while driving.
- Follow the speed limit and all safety signs.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pets & Assistance Dogs:
- Pets and dogs are not allowed in the park.
- Assistance dogs are permitted but may have restricted access to certain areas.
- Dogs are not allowed on the Safari Drive under any circumstances.
